Kids say the darnest things
On Friday we were watching the news when the boobs on bikes segment came on. The lady had VERY VERY large boobs actually they were disturbing. Nicholas saw this and his comment was:
"Oh my gosh that makes me want to be sick" followed by: "mum I think she needs to have a baby to help get rid of all that milk" Nicholas your're so funny.

Holiday Programme
Now that I work 4 nights it seemed very unfair for Nicholas to be couped up inside watching TV whilst I sleep on the couch so I enrolled him into a School holiday programme through the hospital. I felt very anxious as we entered the room and we held hands tightly. We were shown around and there were lots of activities to do and at 10am they were off to the movies followed by lunch and later that day they were going to make pizzas. Nicholas seemed a little unsure but as soon as he saw the computers he was off. I didn't want to leave but knowing he was fine I departed.
I arrived at 3.30pm to pick him up and he was having a great time. Made new friends and he really enjoyed the movie. I asked him if he wanted to go back on Tuesday he was keen and told me they were doing paper mache animals and that a person was coming to make balloon animals and if it doesn't rain they are going to the park.
I'm glad he is having fun and that his holiday will be more exciting!!!!!

Sealing Anniversary
So three years ago Dave, Nicholas, Kate (in my tummy) and me were sealed for all eternity. As I reminisce about that time I feel so blessed and grateful. I remember that day so vividly. Annemarie holding my hand as I cried all the way to the top of the stairs. Feeling very vulnerable and yet also a little excited. Dave commenting that I looked like a cat who had been thrown in water the shock on my face ( a good shock). The feeling of beauty and love and warmth all around me. Nicholas being there with us he was 3 and yet for some strange reason he too felt at peace and did all that was asked of him. I long to go back to the temple again. It was an amazing week and one that I'll never forget. Happy Anniversary Finnie Family.

Lunch with Marie
Last week my friend Marie came down from Auckland for a holiday, it was so nice to see her again. Jennifer, Marie, Kate and myself went out for lunch at Rhubarb in Roslyn. Kate entertained us with playing "peek-a-boo" with the menu holder and then she tried on Auntie Marie glasses so funny. Being such a beautiful day we decided to go elsewhere outside for a hot chocolate. We decided to try Luna and WOW it was lovely and what a beautiful view of the city unfortunately there were other people sitting in the prime seats but nevertheless it was still a beautiful site. Kate really liked Marie head band and so she had to wear it and we all thought she looked like a wee Armish girl. We had a great day with Aunty Marie!!!!!

Kate and friends
Kate 08 always love to sit and watch TV with us but she is too little to climb on the big sofa and so daddy went and brought a wee soft sofa for her. She loves it and gathers her friends to sit with her to watch In the Night Garden or High 5. This sofa also folds out to a little bed and has a sleeping bag attach so if she needs a nap she just folds it out. Young Master Nicholas too loves the sofa even though he is rather big for it but Kate and Nicholas generally have a great time watching TV together.

Spring Cleaning
Whilst on my holiday I decided to spring clean. After reading and seeing Ange's cupboards and how well organise they are and then seeing Jasmine's I really wanted the same. So off shopping I went and got lots of containers and so organising my cupboards began.
My Cupboard before
I really hated having all of these packets of spices/herbs in my cupboard and when you go to use them they are empty or not much left so gone are those annoying packets
Annoying empty packets
Hello new bigger spice/herb containers
I really love this container because I use alot of stock cubes and now I have them in one container but separate compartments so cool.
I was so pleased with my achievement and now my cupboards look organise and clean and awesome. Long may it last!!!!!!

Kate toilet training begins
Now Kate is 18months the toilet training has started. She has started off really well and loves sitting and playing with the toilet holder making it squeak. She has been very successful with ones and twos and she knows exactly what the toilet paper is for cleaver wee girl.
Once she has finish she always looks at her achievement and as we flush we wave bye bye poo's and wee's. She then turns to me and says wash and we wash our hands and all is good.
I'm so proud of her and I know that nappies are soon to be no more yeah for Kate!!!!!

New Moon is finished
So at last I have finished the book. It took me 42 days........................ I nearly gave up but thanks to those who encouraged me I have conquered 563 pages YEAH!!! the biggest book ever I have read. So here is my book review It started out great but I really got sick of Bella and her depression over Edward, that's where I lost interest however I did enjoy finally finding out that Jacob is the wolfman and the journery to Italy very scary. So now do I tackle the next one???
Lots of words I never heard of but I can't remember them off hand except epiphany how do you pronounce that word epi fanny?????

Fun at Grandma's
We decided to take a trip to Oamaru to visit Grandma and Gordon. Grandma is having a birthday on Wednesday so we took her a present as well. We had a lovely lunch and grandma had found an old game of quoits. What a great family game we played it for hours. Ask who was the best quoits player oh yeah it was me!!!!! sorry Dave hahahahaha. Kate picked grandma daffies and grandma put them in her new hat that grandma had knitted. Kate loved the hat she wore it the whole time at grandma even though it was a lovely hot day. Awesome family trip.
